As a Certified Pharmacy Tech, you are a critical part of providing pharmacy services to patients within the Monument Health system. Inpatient Pharmacy Technicians have a passion for helping others and do so by preparing sterile compounds, non-sterile compounds, packages, and appropriately labeling medication doses for distribution to patients and operating automated technology. Additional Requirements Required: Within 30 days of hire: Technician Registration - South Dakota Board of Pharmacy Upon Hire: Certification - Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - National Healthcare Association (NHA) Preferred: Experience - 1+ years of Healthcare Experience; 1+ years of Pharmaceutical Experience; 1+ years of Retail Experience Physical Requirements: Medium work - exerting up to 10 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently (34-66% of the time), and or up to 50 pounds of force occassionally (up to 33% of the time), and/or up to 50 pounds seldomly to move objects. Possible exposure to radiation and frequent exposure to contaminated needles and infectious body substances. Requires the ability to work designated shift lengths (including 8 and 12 hours), which may include night shifts or occasional irregular hours.
