Job Description Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine, as a Staff Pharmacist, Registry in the Inpatient Pharmacy. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will provide clinical and distributive pharmacy services for patients receiving treatment within an assigned area. Our pharmacists cover the pharmacy operations and clinical needs for both the CCD and Comer pharmacies and support our 24/7 coverage model for patient care. This department supports and provides direct patient care to patients of all ages and of all patient populations. Job Summary Staff Pharmacists are aligned with a medical service or group of patients based on a geographical area within the University of Chicago hospitals. They are expected to actively participate in related education and research activities. They also ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of all medication orders by evaluating drug selection, dose, frequency, safety, dosage form, allergies, drug interactions, and disease state interactions prior to dispensing of medications and demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of assigned patients. Position Details
In this role, we anticipate that you will generally work approximately under 20 hours per week. We anticipate that you will generally work the rotating shift within the hours of, 6:30a-3p; 2:30p-11:00p; 9p-7:30a. We anticipate you will be scheduled to work 100% at the Hyde Park campus. The days of the week that you are scheduled will vary based on availability, but we anticipate that you will be scheduled to work every 3rd weekend. Must comply with UCMC's COVID-19 Vaccination requirement as a condition of employment. If you have already received the vaccination, you must provide proof as part of the pre-employment process. This is in addition to your compliance with the Flu Vaccination requirement as well. Medical and religious exemptions will be considered consistent with applicable law.
